How to find us | By Air: | By Rail: |
The house is in the tiny hamlet of Fages, in the commune of Les Pechs du Vers, about 16 miles (25-30 minutes) north of
Cahors. If you have a SatNav, the easiest way to find us is to bid it direct you to "L'eglise de Fages 46360", or use the GPS co-ordinates North 44.584250, East 1.549311.
Unless you are coming from Vers or points East, you should NOT have to go via Les Pechs du Vers, although our full address is
Lieu Dit Fages
46360 Les Pechs du Vers.

We are about 20 minutes from exit 57 on the A20 autoroute, and about 25 minutes NNE of Cahors.
If you are coming from Cahors, take the Brive exit off the Regourd (McDonalds) roundabout, and head up the hill on the D820. It will take you less than a quarter of an hour to reach the roundabout with access to the A20. Take the third exit to stay on the D820 following signs for Sarlat, Gourdon and Brive.
If you are coming via the A20, take exit 57, signed Cahors Nord, then follow signs for Cahors, until the roundabout on the D820, where, instead of continuing to follow signs for Cahors, you take the second exit to follow the D820 in the direction of Sarlat, Gourdon and Brive.
Either way, you will then cross Pélacoy and after about 6 minutes enter a tiny hamlet called Le Pouzat. Immediately after passing a large red and white hotel/retaurant to the left called Un Canard Sous L'Olivier, and crossing over the autoroute, take the D13 on the right towards St. Martin de Vers. Follow the D13 and after a further 4 minutes or so you'll pass the D7 signposted Cras on the right. Take the NEXT turn to the right (signed as a crossroads) - there is a large house with a tower to your right on the corner, and a small bus shelter on the left opposite the turn, which has a tiny little sign indicating 'Fages'. Follow the lane for about 3 or 4 minutes, until you see a modern house on the left, white with glass corners. That's us - illustration above! If you arrive at a roundabout in front of the church, you've gone too far - turn round, and our house will then be the second on the right.
If you are coming via Vers, follow the D653 out of the village towards Figeac. As you can see from this map, after about 7.5 km., there is a difficult turn off to the left onto the D32, signed Labastide Murat, Gourdon and St. Martin de Vers, which you need to take. Continue along the D32 for a further 6km. until you reach St. Martin de Vers. Stay on the D32, with the village on your left, then turn left onto the D13 signposted for Gourdon, immediately after passing the Mairie on your left.
Climb up the side of the Vers valley until you come to a house on the left, a big house on a corner with a tower, and a bus shelter opposite it. Here you turn left to take the lane that leads down to our house. Go past a number of houses, continue around 2 km. until you see a modern house on the left, white with glass corners. That's us - illustration above !
