The Local Climate

Current Forecast:

Monthly Temperatures:

Monthly average median temperatures range from 4.5° Celsius (40° Farenheit) in January, to 20°C (68°F) in July, with average highs 10°F higher. Temperatures can soar in the Summer up to the low 90s F (30s C), while overnight temperatures in Winter can go down as low as 10°F (-12°C).

We have a short, usually fairly wet, Spring followed by an early warm Summer; the Autumn months of September & October are usually glorious, with clear skies and golden evenings.

Of Rain and Rainbows:

We are well-placed to have panoramic views of the rainbows which occasionally span the valley below.

The graph below plots the number of days which received more than 1mm of precipitation in the studies carried out by the World Meteorlogical Organization between 1961 and 1990.

May is the wettest month, with almost 88mm (3½ inches) of rain, 28mm more than July which is the driest, with only 2.4 inches. July is - unsurprisingly - the month with the most sun, its 262 hours almost three times the 90 hours of sun enjoyed in December.
